What is Mental Toughness?

Mental Toughness is the personality trait which determines how we respond to stress, pressure and challenge. It’s made up of four facets or the four Cs of mental toughness.

These are shown in the model below.

By developing mental toughness we are able to perform at the upper range of our abilities consistently regardless of the challenges we face.

The MTQ48 assessment is widely used with elite sports teams and individuals in rugby, football, golf, cricket and many more. It is also used extensively in sectors like education, housing, retail, banking and customer contact centres.
